About the Blog. “Chimps with Wolves” is a blog created and maintained by Justin Aucoin. It’s meant to be a fun and informative resource for dog owners, trainers and potential trainers. Justin will be talking about his own experiences working with dogs, things he’s learned as he works toward his CPDT certification, trends and more.
The name of the blog is influenced from ideas in Patricia B. McConnell’s book, The Otherside of the Leash, in which she compares and contrasts how humans (primates) and dogs (canines) interact and how the difference in cultures (especially body language) can create miscommunication between the two. Also, the image of a chimp hanging with a wolf is amusing…
